Elizabeth is passionate about helping students find the “right fit” college that will serve them well long after graduation. After guiding her own children through the process and helping numerous other students, she has decided to join Firat Education to assist other families in their college admissions journey. Elizabeth worked as the Assistant Admissions Director at South Texas College of Law and continued with admissions and scholarship decisions in her role as Alumni Director. At STCL, Elizabeth was responsible for reviewing thousands of admissions applications and interviewing countless students, sitting on both the admissions and scholarship committees.
Over the course of the last several years, Elizabeth has visited over 25 schools in the US and Europe. From STEM to liberal arts and everything in between, she has a vast knowledge of colleges and universities that will excite and challenge each individual student. She is also very familiar with summer programs and community service opportunities locally and across the nation that will stimulate your child and supplement their academic background. Although the process at times can seem intimidating, Elizabeth can help your family make the path exciting and less stressful with a cohesive plan of action – from high school course selection to test prep, tutoring, and college lists.
Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University and a JD from South Texas College of Law. She worked as a litigation attorney and a realtor for 15 years before taking time off to raise her twin children. A native Houstonian, Elizabeth has also lived in New York City, Greenwich, Connecticut, and Grosse Pointe, Michigan.
Elizabeth recently stepped down as co-president of the 800+ member organization, Houston Alumni Club of Pi Beta Phi, where she was responsible for recruitment, membership retention, communications, and event planning. She currently sits on their philanthropy board which allocates grants to childhood literary organizations. Elizabeth has also been very involved in volunteering and fundraising in the Houston area for many organizations including the Society for the Performing Arts, Star of Hope, the Kinkaid School, River Oaks Baptist, Juvenile Diabetes, BEAR, Child Advocates, and countless literary organizations through her work with Pi Beta Phi.
In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys working on her French, traveling and boating with her husband, and zooming with her two children that are now in college – her son attends the University of Texas Cockrell School of Engineering, and her daughter is studying English and History in the UK at the University of St. Andrews.
