About Megan:
Megan Adkins graduated with her Bachelor’s in Criminology and Human Development from the University of Maryland and her Master’s in School Counseling from Loyola University Maryland. Upon graduation, Megan received her National Certified Counselor (NCC) designation. She has been working in education for 10 years and has been a high school counselor for the last six years.
Megan has helped over 200 students through the college admissions process. She has visited over 50 colleges and is familiar with the graduate admissions process as well. While in graduate school, Megan worked as a graduate admissions office worker at Loyola University Maryland. Megan has served as an AP and ACT coordinator during her career. She also has experience with PSAT and SAT coordination and feels confident in the test-taking prep arena.
Megan is based in Frederick, MD and serves clients in-person and virtually in DC, MD, and Northern VA areas and will also service clients online nationally.

Megan is an Associate College Admissions Consultant who will:
- Fully assess your student to identify: Personality traits, career matches, academic strengths, learning skills and styles
- Prepare an individually custom-tailored college preparation plan and academic curriculum to achieve your desired results
- Provide personalized college counseling and advising services
- Guide and help you with every step of the college application process, including college essay preparation, resume building, interviews, and campus visits.
The College and Career Assessment is a a three session assessment of personality, interests, skills and abilities in order to identify the most fitting careers, college majors and up to 30 colleges based on size, location, academics, and extracurriculars that are best fit for the student.
If your student is not satisfied with his or her college and major list, Megan will work with your student to develop a new list that he or she feels confident about while also considering college compatibility.
